Le Secret by Suzanne Wolf-Ferrari

The opera is set in Piedmont at the beginning of the twentieth century. Count Gil has been married only a month and is already struggling with the agony of jealousy. Convinced that he has seen his spouse Suzanne outside their home against his will, his suspicions are reinforced by a tobacco scent in the apartment: « If the eye can be fooled, the nose cannot ». Yet, neither he nor his servant Sante smokes. With the young prodigious baritone HUGO LAPORTE and the wonderful soprano AUDREY LAROSE-ZICAT, accompanied on the piano by LOUISE-ANDRÉE BARIL, and stage directed by JEAN-FRANÇOIS LAPOINTE.

Le Téléphone by Menotti

Before leaving for a trip, Ben heads to Lucy’s to propose but is continually stopped by phone calls she is receiving. The FestivalOpera is very proud to receive internationally renowned Quebecker baritone JEAN-FRANÇOIS LAPOINTE! Presented by great renowned singers: soprano CHANTAL DIONNE and baritone JEAN-FRANÇOIS LAPOINTE, accompanied on the piano by LOUISE-ANDRÉE BARIL and stage directed by JEAN-FRANÇOIS LAPOINTE.
